VISION

The Toronto Southeast Presbytery affirms that it is called

to enable and support good, faithful and healthy communities of faith within our member Pastoral Charges and to provide opportunities for cross-congregational initiatives where individuals from Congregations with shared calls to specific ministries may work together.

 

The Presbytery will be a place where mutual support and encouragement are found, collegiality is nurtured, Congregations learn with each other, bonds of shared ministry are forged, and lively, affirming worship is made, while at the same time attending to the administrative responsibilities of personnel and property and engaging in public witness and program activities.

 

 

 

Welcome to Presbytery's website!  

As we start the new journey of the Toronto Southeast Presbytery, we feel the necesity of the communication tool within the Presbytery and people who are interested in our life and work as the disciples of Jesus Christ.

 

We will have our official website within the Conference website which is in the process of preparing. Until we have one, I prepare some space to help communication within the Presbytery and for sharing stories, thoughts and reflections.  

 

We need volunteers to manage this website to go on from editing, technical and art works, monitoring the new web pages. When we have enough volunteers, we will have interactive discussion pages. Anyone who think her/himself as positive and proactive may contact me with saying, "If God Is willing, with God's help, we can make it."  

 

This website is like a small house with many unfurnished rooms. But it is expendable to a great length and size by your sending information/ photos/ stories of your church. This website has enough room to accommodate even personal stories that will help us feel connected by letting know of ourselves.

 

I wish that we together venture into a new journey of exploration how much we can extend our imaginations and dreams into practice with our small hands. Through this website, I hope we will experience that each one of us is valued as we realize how  beautiful and precious we are.

 

Please take a look that this website and leave your footprints, ideas and stories, and make this space a comfortable home for the people of Toronto Southeast Presbytery.

INTERCULTURAL STORIES

Each one of us is precious with unique gifts without exception. So everyone has one's own culture and when we see each other with the eyes of love and compassion, we can discover the beauty of God`s creation.

 

No one has clear definition of what the intercultural ministry is. Even in a family, between generations. Intercultural ministry means the quality of building a community with intersubjective mutural respect relationship. So what we talk about intercultural ministry can mean the stries of our daily lives.

 

Let us share intercultural experience, our thoughts and reflections, stories of healing and reconciliation and mending the world that ilumines out faith.  Confident that "you" are precious 

and made with God's beauty.
