Same Sex Marriage: A Celebration

On Sunday, June 22^nd at 3 p.m., Federal MP Svend Robinson will be speaking about the legalization of marriage for lesbians and gays. Robinson will be speaking at Emmanuel Howard Park United Church, which conducted Canada’s first legal registered same sex marriage in 2002. Reverend Dr Cheri DiNovo will be explaining how this came about, and why the Bible does not forbid same sex marriages.

The afternoon promises to be a celebration, with food provided by Mitzi’s. The talk will be recorded for broadcast on CIUT-FM.

Directions:

By TTC: Take the subway to Dundas West, then the 504 streetcar  to Wright Avenue stop ( just south of the church).

By car:   The church is east of High Park. Best  reached via Roncesvalles, five or six blocks north of Queen.
